The hottest band in the world is known for lots of chrome, flames, saturated colors, and well…explosions.

Here’s a nice, short story.

I wanted to give the band a minimalist treatment that resembled lost paper relics found in the trunk of a 1977 Pontiac. A brand-new take on those iconic characters, but also vintage-feeling. Something I’d actually want hanging on my walls as an adult.

I knew I had something special with these, but unless I wanted a lawsuit I was powerless to do anything with them. Fortunately the band’s licensing agent, Epic Rights, saw something in my designs, too.

They bought the exclusive rights to my illustrations, and maybe someday, these will be available for fans everywhere.
